Abstract

TERRA is an invitation to breathe with the rhythm of water, to listen to what flows beneath the surface.

Terra, 26/09/2025, released in digital and on tape. The field recordings of water, rain, and valleys function as the primary compositional substrate of each piece. Rather than serving as mere ambient background, the sonic presence of nature provides the structural framework that supports and conditions the development of the modular synthesizer. The drones and electronic harmonies are not designed to override the natural recordings; instead, they articulate and modulate the temporal unfolding of each composition.

Tracklist

• Petrichor (pron. [/ˈpɛtrɪkɔːr/]) is the scent of rain on dry soil; it is the title of both the opening track and the closing one, in an expanded version performed and recorded live.
• Subnatat is a plunge beneath the surface of a cold mountain river. A swirling harmony pushes us into a vortex descent, until resurfacing in a safe place.
• Listrea is a soundwalk along the stream of the same name. The ceaseless drone merges with the river in a parallel flow.
• Piove, ma il bosco se ne frega is a manifesto for that which continues to exist undisturbed, even when unobserved or left without care.
